Clinic Policies

Please review our clinic policies to ensure a smooth, positive experience for all patients and staff.

Important:By attending Omega Physiotherapy & Rehab, you agree to abide by the policies below. They exist to ensure quality care for every patient.

No Show & Late Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations require at least 24 hours' notice. Please contact reception to cancel — email is also accepted at info@omegaphysiotherapy.ca.
  • Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged a cancellation fee so other patients can be offered your slot.
  • Arrivals more than 10 minutes past your scheduled time may be rescheduled to allow full assessment time.

Appointment Guidelines

  • Please arrive 10 minutes early for your first visit to complete intake and consent paperwork.
  • Wear comfortable clothing that allows us to examine and treat the affected area.
  • Bring a list of current medications, relevant imaging/reports and your insurance details.

Fees, Billing & Insurance

  • We offer direct billing to most extended-health insurance plans (subject to your plan terms and coverage limits).
  • WCB and motor vehicle accident (MVA) claims accepted — documentation supported throughout treatment.
  • Any portion not covered by insurance is payable by cash, debit or credit card at the end of each visit.

Treatment Plans & Progress

  • Your therapist will develop an individualized plan of care based on your assessment, goals and timeline.
  • Progress reassessments occur periodically to adjust the plan — we communicate any changes with you directly.
  • If a referral to another provider is appropriate, we will discuss it with you and coordinate as needed.

Confidentiality & Records

  • Your health information is kept strictly confidential in accordance with Alberta's Health Information Act.
  • Release of records requires your signed, written consent — we will only share information you have authorized.
  • You may request a copy of your own records at any time; a small administrative fee may apply.

Virtual Physiotherapy

  • Virtual sessions are conducted over a secure platform and require a quiet, well-lit space and stable connection.
  • Home-exercise prescription and follow-up are provided digitally after your session.
  • Some insurance plans cover virtual physio — please confirm with your provider before booking.

Conduct Standards

  • We are committed to a respectful, welcoming and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Rude, aggressive or discriminatory behaviour towards staff or other patients will not be tolerated.
  • In extreme cases, a patient may be asked to leave and further care may be discontinued.
