Sports-related knee injuries are some of the most common reasons athletes end up in our NE Calgary clinic — from patellar tendinopathy and runner's knee to meniscal injuries and post-ACL rehab.
The first job is accurate assessment. Two patients with knee pain rarely need the same plan; understanding what's driving the symptoms — load, mechanics, prior injury, or structural change — determines the right path forward.
Treatment is loading-based. We progress through controlled strength work, single-leg control, sport-specific drills, and return-to-play testing. Manual therapy, taping, and modalities support the process but don't replace progressive loading.
If you have a knee that limits your training or your enjoyment of the sport you love, an assessment is the fastest way to get back to play with confidence — and stay there.
