Laser Therapy in NE Calgary: What to Expect and Who It's For

If pain or a lingering injury is slowing you down, low-level laser therapy can speed healing and reduce inflammation. Here's what to expect at Omega Physiotherapy.

Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) uses specific light wavelengths to stimulate cellular repair in injured tissue. It's painless, drug-free, and increasingly used as part of comprehensive rehab plans.

We commonly use laser for tendinopathies, joint pain, post-operative recovery, wound healing, and some neuropathic pain. Each session is brief — usually 5 to 10 minutes per area — and slots easily alongside other treatments.

Most patients feel a gentle warmth and notice improvement within a few sessions. We track objective measures so progression decisions are clear and shared.

Laser is an add-on, not a stand-alone fix. Combined with exercise and hands-on therapy, it can meaningfully shorten recovery timelines.
