Laser Therapy in NE Calgary: What to Expect and Who It's For

Low-level laser therapy can accelerate healing, reduce inflammation, and ease chronic pain. Here's a clear, evidence-based look at who benefits — and how it works at Omega.

Low-level laser therapy (LLLT), sometimes called cold laser or photobiomodulation, uses specific wavelengths of light to stimulate cellular activity in injured tissue. It's painless, drug-free, and quietly powerful for the right conditions.

We use laser at Omega for tendinopathies, joint pain, post-operative recovery, wound healing, and certain neuropathic pain conditions. Treatments are short — usually 5 to 10 minutes per area — and stack well with the rest of your rehab program.

Most patients feel a gentle warmth. Some notice improvement within the first one or two sessions; others need a series of 6-10 to see meaningful change. We track progress objectively so the decision to continue is always data-driven.

Laser isn't a stand-alone solution — it's a powerful add-on. Combined with exercise and manual therapy, it can shorten recovery timelines and reduce the need for medication.
